My Flamingo Dusky Pink Mane - ION Color Brilliance x Beauty & Booze

 

Ever since the first time I went over to "the-pink-side" in May of 2015,
I've been asked about my hair color.
Now I'm sharing my secrets of concocting the perfect dusky pink mane.

The hair color products I use are salon quality,
but you can purchase them anywhere in the United States
as well as order them online!
All from Sally Beauty Supply!

 

All products are Ion Color Brilliance
Semi Permanent at-home Hair Color

Essentially, I mix three separate colors to create a custom color.

+  FLAMINGO  +
+  TITANIUM  +

And here's what color it will turn when all three are combined together.
Remember, it doesn't have to be exact -
just in the same zip code each time you do touch-ups!

*( the color mixture comes out deep purple - don't be alarmed! )*

　　

I leave my hair color on for 1 hour to really absorb the color.
( Box Recommends 15-45 minutes)

I prefer to have a hairdresser put it on for me the first time I do it,
so that I don't miss any spots!
But I do my own maintenance dyes.


MAINTENANCE:

I always use the after color sealer when I rinse the color from my hair!
(I use it on the second wash, too!)

I use the Color Defense Leave In Protector EVERY time I wash my hair!

Fact about any unnatural hair color:
it fades.
no matter what.
with every wash,...
it fades.
it just does.

Color adheres better to damaged hair, so when my color starts to fade, it creates a natural ombre.

My cotton candy ombre hair color is simply a result of the color fading.

I apply the color evenly all over my head, it seems to hold the color strongest on the ends due to them being the most damaged.

You simply CANNOT wash your hair every day!
